We are leaping into the competition season! Yolo Water Polo Club just completed another action-packed weekend of high-level competition, development, and community spirit. From local scrimmages to premier regional tournaments, our athletes showed exactly what it means to “Roll Yolo.”
Here is a look back at our weekend on the pool deck:
Friday Night: 10U Collaboration with 680 Water Polo
The weekend kicked off Friday evening when 680 Water Polo invited our 10U division for a joint practice and scrimmage. We pitted our A, B, C, and D teams into a collaborative competition designed to sharpen skills and build friendships across the local water polo community.
It was a night filled with impressive steals, creative scores, and plenty of smiles. Building a strong foundation at the youth water polo level is all about these moments of growth.

Saturday: 12U Futures at Acalanes High School
Saturday shifted the focus to our 12U Futures division. Our club rolled out the red carpet at Acalanes High School, hosting 16 intense games across two courses.
We also took a significant step forward in player development by test-driving the 6-8 Game Desk. This allowed us to capture advanced analytics for Futures Division 1, providing our coaches and athletes with data-driven insights to elevate their game. Check out the full analytics and scores here.

Sunday: USA Water Polo Spring Sunday Showcase
To wrap up the weekend, we co-hosted the annual USA Water Polo Spring Sunday competition. This event served as a premier local showcase for up-and-coming talent, featuring 22 teams across three divisions.
The pool was buzzing with energy as some of the top youth athletes in the region competed for the top spot. We were proud to provide a stage for such high-quality water polo right here in our own backyard.

Looking Ahead: Heading South to San Diego!
The momentum doesn’t stop here. We have just one week of training left before our teams head south for a major tournament in San Diego. We are ready to take our NorCal energy to the coast and show them how we play.
