About Us

Founded in 2024 in the heart of the East Bay, Yolo Water Polo Club was born from a simple but audacious question: Can a sports program be both inclusive and extraordinary?

We saw an opportunity to move beyond the traditional “win-at-all-costs” coaching model. Instead, we built a non-profit program centered on the belief that water polo is a vehicle for building self-confidence, developing character, and enhancing discipline. Whether we are coaching a 7-year-old taking their first eggbeater kicks or a seasoned athlete in our Women’s program, our goal remains the same: to take our athletes somewhere they have never been and could never go alone.

At Yolo Polo, we believe in the power of storytelling and innovation. We don’t just run drills; we create an environment where humor is a teaching tool, mistakes are rebranded as “Opportunities to Improve,” and every athlete is empowered to find their voice in the water.
