What a weekend! The Frozen Cup marked a major milestone in our journey as we saw four of our 12u teams represent the club across four different divisions: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Girls Gold. It was a weekend filled with exciting, high-level water polo that showed exactly how much our athletes have grown.
We saw it all: one-goal “barn burners,” tense shootouts, and even a partial game replay! After witnessing the incredible effort and heart these kids put into every single quarter, we certainly think everyone got their money’s worth from that $15 gate fee.

We have many visual learners in the pool, and it helps them immensely to see what they look like on press defense, counter-attacks, and half-court offense.

The team faced tough competition against Praetorian and SHAQ before securing a fantastic 9-7 win over Santa Cruz. They finished the weekend in a hard-fought 5th-place battle against SHAQ.

It was a weekend of persistence for Yolo B, highlighted by two gritty wins over Asphalt Green (9-8 and 11-7). Their determination earned them a solid 4th-place finish for the tournament.

This squad started strong with wins over CV United and SHAQ B (10-8). After a tough Semifinal loss to Marin, they gave it their all in the Bronze Medal match, finishing just one goal shy in an 8-9 thriller.

Our girls were on fire, dominating CCU and AQWPC with back-to-back 12-3 wins. The highlight of the weekend was a tense shootout victory in the Semifinals against Davis (3.4-3.3) before taking home the Silver Medal after the championship game against Stanford.
